Dear KEC members,
I hope you and your family are well. Over the past several weeks, our lives have been substantially altered by the coronavirus. During this time, KEC has continued to serve our members as an essential business. We’ve also been planning for the future, including a phased approach for KEC to return to normal operations. The plan is intended to be adaptable and flexible to meet changing conditions, government directives and CDC recommendations. The goals of our plan have always been two-fold: to safeguard employees and the public while also preserving the continuity of the essential services we provide our members.
We are pleased to announce temporary office hours:
- Lobby hours are Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., closed Fridays.
- We ask that if you are feeling sick, please stay home.
KEC will promote and continue to maintain recommended social distancing among employees and anyone entering KEC’s lobby through the use of stanchions and signage. We will also install sneeze guards, provide hand sanitizer and frequently disinfect surfaces. KEC employees will be provided a self‐check questionnaire to perform prior to the beginning of work each day. Those who are sick will be required to stay home.
Every member’s situation is unique and we’re here to help. We encourage members to make payments online, through the SmartHub app, by phone, mail or using the drop box in front of our building. Members who find themselves impacted by COVID-19 or any other hardship and unable to pay their bills when due should contact KEC beforehand to discuss their account and payment arrangements or possible resources available. KEC will continue to ensure appropriate accommodations are made under these circumstances.
