You can receive KEC Alerts by text or email. You should only be alerted if an outage affects your home or business. You will usually receive three messages: one to notify you of an outage, one to let you know the estimated restoration time and one when your power has been restored. Please be aware that the power outage alerts are 24/7 and cell phone providers charge often for text messages. KEC is not responsible for cell phone provider charges.
